We live in the city —but, within just a block of our house, we can see cattle grazing in a grassy green pasture. It's a sight that I never tire of. As someone who grew up in the country, I love getting out in nature whenever I can.

- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2/3 cup butter, melted, divided
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 Eggland's Best Eggs
- 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
- 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks
